8 Hour Site Safety Course
This course is a renewal requirement for the holder of a NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager or Site Safety Coordinator Certificate. This course is also a required course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card.
Please Note: The self-paced online course cannot be used for Construction Superintendent renewal. Renewal training must be completed through a live, in-person class or a live Zoom session.

Course Overview: This course is hosted on learndesk.us our self paced online learning platform. You will need to create an account on the website once confirmation of purchase of the course is completed. ABC Safety Group will assign the course to your email address and you will receive and email asking you to create an account on learndesk.us to access your course modules.

Describe the roles and responsibilities of NYC Site Safety Managers, Coordinators, and other safety personnel.

Identify common causes of construction site accidents and recommend appropriate preventative measures.

Explain DOB certification renewal requirements and disciplinary procedures.

Interpret OSHA 1926 standards with a focus on the “Fatal Four” hazards.

Apply relevant NYC Construction Codes including Chapter 33, Title 1 Rules, and 2014 Fire Code to construction safety planning.

Recognize and respond to jobsite safety violations, emergency situations, and reoccurring hazards.

Evaluate the requirements and purpose of a Site Safety Plan.

Discuss the correct procedures for 311 Unsafe Condition notifications and integrity reporting.

Demonstrate knowledge retention through successful completion of a final assessment.
Course Requirements:

Submit verification of records that show that you are the person taking the course by uploading a headshot and ID at the beginning of the course.

Completion of all course modules.

Passing the final quiz with a minimum score of 70%.

Submission of the course evaluation form.

Confirmation of Satisfactory Completion
To confirm that learners have satisfactorily completed the course, the following measures are in place:
