22 Hour SST Supervisor
Information
The course additionally provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. The course is taught by an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) authorized instructor. Students will receive a certificate verifying they have completed the class. OSHA cards expire after five years according to the New York City Department of Buildings in order to work on any site.

CEU Requirements
- 100% attendance
- Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
- Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)
- Completion of required pre-and post-quiz assessment
- As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination
- Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)
To receive a certificate/card for the course, students must:
- Students will receive a SST Supervisor card (requires OSHA 30 and 10 Hour SST certification to obtain)
- Be able to clearly communicate with the instructor and complete all paperwork in the language the course is delivered.
- Attend all required hours of the course.
- Actively participate during class activities and reviews.
- An 62 Hour SST supervisor wallet card from ABC Safety Group will be issued to the participant within 3 days of successful completion of course.
Pre-Course Learner Information
Course Overview: This course is hosted on learndesk.us our self paced online learning platform. You will need to create an account on the website once confirmation of purchase of the course is completed. ABC Safety Group will assign the course to your email address and you will receive and email asking you to create an account on learndesk.us to access your course modules.
Course Requirements:

Submit verification of records that show that you are the person taking the course by uploading a headshot and ID at the beginning of the course.

Completion of all course modules.

Passing the final quiz with a minimum score of 70%.

Submission of the course evaluation form.
Technical Requirements: You will need a web browser to access the content sufficiently and ability to have volume and listen to the course material videos.

Confirmation of Satisfactory Completion
To confirm that learners have satisfactorily completed the course, the following measures are in place:

Module Completion Tracking: The LearnDesk.us platform monitors and records the completion status of each course module for every learner.

Final Assessment: Learners must complete a final quiz and achieve a score of at least 70% to pass. The quiz is automatically graded by the platform.

Course Evaluation: Upon finishing the course, learners are required to complete an evaluation form, providing feedback on the course content and delivery.

Certificate Issuance: After meeting all course requirements, learners receive a digital certificate of completion, which includes their name, course title, completion date, and CEU credits earned (If requested).

Record Keeping: ABC Safety Group staff regularly review course completion records, quiz scores, and evaluation submissions to ensure compliance and maintain accurate records for IACET accreditation purposes.

8 Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher:
- Review New York City Building Code Chapter 33
- Understand the responsibilities of various individuals working in the construction industry in New York City
- Learn about other applicable codes that interface with this Chapter of the Building Code
- Learn the safety process of protecting all persons exposed to construction activities
4 Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher:
- Define terms associated with supported scaffolds.
- Explain safety standards associated with supported scaffolds.
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of critical personnel when working near or on supported scaffolding.
- Identify typical hazards associated with supported scaffolds and list steps to avoid such hazards.
- Describe common hazard controls associated with supported scaffolds
1 Hour Electrocution Prevention:
- Recognize terms related to electrical hazards.
- Demonstrate awareness of the characteristics of electricity and how it causes harm.
- Recognize electrical hazards (including electrocution) and error traps.
- Demonstrate awareness of administrative regulatory safety requirements associated with electricity.
1 Hour Ergonomics
- Define ergonomics
- Define and explain the term musculoskeletal disorder (MSD)
- Identify the risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders.
- Identify solutions to prevent or minimize musculoskeletal disorders.
1 Hour Asbestos and Lead Awareness
- Describe the historic uses of asbestos and lead
- Explain the potential health hazards from exposure to asbestos and lead containing materials
- List the steps to take when encountering asbestos containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP) on the worksite
1 Hour Handling Heavy Materials
- Identify causes of shoulder and back injuries
- Explain the effects of overexertion that may lead to musculoskeletal injuries
- Describe the physics behind the different classifications of levers and further demonstrate how the human body in motion uses these mechanisms
- Explain employer requirements to protect workers from musculoskeletal injuries
- List administrative and engineering controls that reduce musculoskeletal injuries.
2 Hour Pre-Task Meeting
- Describe the purpose and necessity of pre-task meetings.
- Adapt these pre-task meeting guidelines and templates to their specific work situations.
- Gather relevant task-to-hazard risks and effectively present such information to team members.
- Describe regulations pertaining to pre-task meetings.
2 Hour Site Safety Plan
- Describe which projects require a Site Safety Plan and why.
- Demonstrate familiarity with plans and Site Safety Plans.
- Point out and describe issues with an existing Site Safety Plan.
- Explain how professionals use a Site Safety Plan to maintain compliance.
2 Hour Tool Box Talks
- Explain the need for effective Toolbox Talks.
- Educate others on the role of Toolbox Talks.
- Reinforce an employer’s training efforts.
- Keep safety & health at the forefront in the minds of workers.
- Prepare Toolbox Talks based on situation & needs of adults learners.
- Obtain and use feedback effectively during Toolbox Talks.
- Describe how frequent, effective Toolbox Talks increase comradery, communication and overall jobsite culture.
