8 Hour Site Safety Course This course is a renewal requirement for the holder of a NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager or Site Safety Coordinator Certificate. This course is also a required course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. Please Note: The self-paced online course cannot be used for Construction Superintendent renewal. Renewal training must be completed through a live, in-person class or a live Zoom session. IACET CEUs (Continuing Education Units): 0.8 Learning Objectives: After completing this 8 hour site safety manager course online NYC DOB approved, you should be able to: 1. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: 2. Describe the roles and responsibilities of NYC Site Safety Managers, Coordinators, and other safety personnel. 3. Identify common causes of construction site accidents and recommend appropriate preventative measures. 4. Explain DOB certification renewal requirements and disciplinary procedures. 5. Interpret OSHA 1926 standards with a focus on the “Fatal Four” hazards. 6. Apply relevant NYC Construction Codes including Chapter 33, Title 1 Rules, and 2014 Fire Code to construction safety planning. 7. Recognize and respond to jobsite safety violations, emergency situations, and reoccurring hazards. 8. Evaluate the requirements and purpose of a Site Safety Plan. 9. Discuss the correct procedures for 311 Unsafe Condition notifications and integrity reporting. 10. Demonstrate knowledge retention through successful completion of a final assessment.
