Drug and alcohol use in the workplace creates a dangerous situation not just for employees struggling with substance abuse, but for their coworkers and management as well. Our NYC SST-302 2-Hour Drugs and Alcohol Awareness for Construction course prepares participants to better understand signs of drug and alcohol abuse at work, how to address these issues, and workplace strategies for prevention. This course also offers voice authentication (VA) proctoring to meet NYC Local Law 196 requirements for Drugs and Alcohol Awareness training. CEUs: 0.2 Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this drug and alcohol awareness training online, the student will be able to: 1. Identify the adverse effects of drug and alcohol use in the construction workplace. 2. Recognize problems and behaviors associated with substance dependency. 3. Describe strategies for avoiding working under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. 4. Apply methods to recognize, avoid, and prevent (RAP) the adverse consequences of drug and/or alcohol use in the construction workplace. 5. Identify the effects of chemical dependency on the lives of coworkers, family, and friends. 6. Explain how dependent disorders can affect individuals, including those who may not realize they are at risk.
