Pre-Course Learner Information
Course Overview: This course is hosted on Wix, our self paced online learning platform. You will be prompted to create an account on ABC Safety Group's website to purchase this bundle and access the courses. After you successfully create an account and complete the purchase, you will be able to find the courses under "My Programs."

 

2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course: 

IACET CEUs (Continuing Education Units): 0.2

Learning Objectives: 

Upon completion of this drug and alcohol awareness training online, the student will be able to:

1. Identify the adverse effects of drug and alcohol use in the construction workplace.

2. Recognize problems and behaviors associated with substance dependency.

3. Describe strategies for avoiding working under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

4. Apply methods to recognize, avoid, and prevent (RAP) the adverse consequences of drug and/or alcohol use in the construction workplace.

5. Identify the effects of chemical dependency on the lives of coworkers, family, and friends.

6. Explain how dependent disorders can affect individuals, including those who may not realize they are at risk.
    

8 Hour Fall Prevention Course: 

IACET CEUs (Continuing Education Units): 0.8

CEU Requirements 

1. 100% attendance for the Fall Protection Class

2. Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form

3. Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)

4. Completion of required pre-and post-quiz assessment

5. As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination

6. Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this fall prevention training, the student will be able to:

1. Define fall hazards and describe common causes of falls in construction.

2. Identify and describe components of fall protection systems and controls.

3. Recognize the role of a competent person in fall protection planning.

4. Perform fall clearance calculations and select appropriate fall protection solutions.

5. Describe NYC and OSHA regulations governing fall protection (e.g., OSHA Subpart M, NYC Chapter 33).

6. Make informed decisions regarding fall protection equipment selection and rescue planning.

4 Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher
IACET CEUs (Continuing Education Units): 0.4

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this fall prevention training, the student will be able to:

1. Define terms associated with supported scaffolds.

2. Explain safety standards associated with supported scaffolds.

3. Describe the roles and responsibilities of critical personnel when working near or on supported scaffolding.

4. Identify typical hazards associated with supported scaffolds and list steps to avoid such hazards.

5. Describe common hazard controls associated with supported scaffolds

 

CEU Requirements

1. 100% attendance for all the courses

2. Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form

3. Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)

4. Completion of required pre-and post-quiz assessment

5. As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination

6. Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)

Course Requirements:

• Submit verification of records that show that you are the person taking the course by uploading a headshot and ID at the beginning of the course.

• Completion of all course modules.

• Passing the final quiz with a minimum score of 70%.

• Submission of the course evaluation form.

Technical Requirements: You will need a web browser to access the content sufficiently and ability to have volume and listen to the course material videos.

Confirmation of Satisfactory Completion: To confirm that learners have satisfactorily completed the course, the following measures are in place:

• Module Completion Tracking: The LearnDesk.us platform monitors and records the completion status of each course module for every learner.

• Final Assessment: Learners must complete a final quiz and achieve a score of at least 70% to pass. The quiz is automatically graded by the platform.

• Course Evaluation: Upon finishing the course, learners are required to complete an evaluation form, providing feedback on the course content and delivery.

• Certificate Issuance: After meeting all course requirements, learners receive a digital certificate of completion, which includes their name, course title, completion date, and CEU credits earned (If requested).

• Record Keeping: ABC Safety Group staff regularly review course completion records, quiz scores, and evaluation submissions to ensure compliance and maintain accurate records for IACET accreditation purposes.
