Renew your SST Supervisor card with our comprehensive 16-Hour Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor Refresher course. In New York City, construction supervisors must complete sixteen hours of Department of Buildings (DOB)-approved Site Safety Training (SST) refresher training every five years to maintain their SST Supervisor card. This mandatory training must be completed within 12 months before the card's expiration date.

Course Overview: This course is hosted on learndesk.us our self paced online learning platform. You will need to create an account on the website once confirmation of purchase of the course is completed. ABC Safety Group will assign the course to your email address and you will receive and email asking you to create an account on learndesk.us to access your course modules.
Learning Objectives: After taking this class, participants should be able to:

1. Review New York City Building Code Chapter 33.
2. Understand the responsibilities of various individuals working in the construction industry in New York City.
3. Learn about other applicable codes that interface with this Chapter of the Building Code.
4. Learn the safety process of protecting all people exposed to construction activities.
- 8 Hour Fall Prevention
1. Define fall hazards and describe common causes of falls in construction.
2. Identify and describe components of fall protection systems and controls.
3. Recognize the role of a competent person in fall protection planning.
4. Perform fall clearance calculations and select appropriate fall protection solutions.
5. Describe NYC and OSHA regulations governing fall protection (e.g., OSHA Subpart M, NYC Chapter 33).
6. Make informed decisions regarding fall protection equipment selection and rescue planning.
Course Requirements:
Submit verification of records that show that you are the person taking the course by uploading a headshot and ID at the beginning of the course.
Completion of all course modules.
Passing the final quiz with a minimum score of 70%.
Submission of the course evaluation form.
Technical Requirements: You will need a web browser to access the content sufficiently and ability to have volume and listen to the course material videos.

Confirmation of Satisfactory Completion
