Renew your SST card with our comprehensive 8-Hour Site Safety Training Refresher course! In New York City, construction workers are required to complete eight hours of Department of Buildings (DOB)-approved Site Safety Training (SST) refresher training every five years to maintain their SST card. This mandatory training must be completed within 12 months before the card's expiration date.

    Course Overview: This course is hosted on learndesk.us our self paced online learning platform. You will need to create an account on the website once confirmation of purchase of the course is completed. ABC Safety Group will assign the course to your email address and you will receive and email asking you to create an account on learndesk.us to access your course modules.

    Learning Objectives: After taking this class, participants should be able to:

    -List and define terms associated with fall hazards and controls in thwe construction industry as they pertain to construction in New York City.
    -Ilustrate best practices for avoiding fall hazards, and prevent fall-related incidents from ocurring or causing harm.
    -Explain the responsabilities and acountabilities of various people on a construction sites.
    -List and describe regulatory safety requirements associated with falls.
    -Make informed decisions when working at heights.

    • 4 Hour Supported Scaffold User

    -List supported scaffold types and its major components
    -Identify the most common supported scaffold safety hazards
    -Protect themselves from supported scaffold safety hazards
    -Outline New York City Building Code supported scaffold safety requirements
    -Inspect supported scaffolds in accordance with federal and local safety regulations

     

    • Course Requirements:

    -Submit verification of records that show that you are the person taking the course by uploading a headshot and ID at the beginning of the course.

    -Completion of all course modules.

    -Passing the final quiz with a minimum score of 70%.

    -Submission of the course evaluation form.

    • Technical Requirements: You will need a web browser to access the content sufficiently and ability to have volume and listen to the course material videos.

    Confirmation of Satisfactory Completion

    To confirm that learners have satisfactorily completed the course, the following measures are in place:

    • Final Assessment: Learners must complete a final quiz and achieve a score of at least 70% to pass. The quiz is automatically graded by the platform.

    • Certificate Issuance: After meeting all course requirements, learners receive a digital certificate of completion, which includes their name, course title, completion date, and CEU credits earned (If requested).
